    Life Skills Movie

    The Story of Susie is a story and film created by students during a life skills class called “Value Art – Live Substance Free”.  The students created the artwork and then it was consolidated to create the film.  The program was design by Deborah Landry and was funded by Lake County Substance Abuse Council with partnerships with University of Northwest Indiana and South Shore Art.

    As part of BP’s focus to encourage student interest around STEM fields — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — the BP Whiting Refinery in Indiana partnered with me through South Shore Arts, a local youth outreach organization to create an outdoor sculpture for the refinery’s visitors center.       The Art of Choices is a program that I developed with the South Shore Arts Center in Munster Indiana. They first asked me to create an anti-drug program and I suggested that look at the concern, from a holistic view.
